Last night, Ogilvy & Mather Group UK's CEO, Annette King, was crowned Agency Leader of the Year at the Women in Marketing Awards, at London’s Ham Yard Hotel.
During her 16 years at Ogilvy & Mather, Annette’s leadership contribution has stretched across both continents and disciplines, ensuring innovation, creativity and collaboration remain at the forefront of both the agency and client’s business models.
Annette has been instrumental in elevating women into Senior positions, including recently Emma de la Fosse as Group Chief Creative Officer – a role that puts “making” at the heart of the organisation, and Jo Coombs as CEO of OgilvyOne.
Her leadership has ensured a string of successes and positive developments for the agency, including Ogilvy & Mather being named agency of the year on more than one occasion. Working with some of the best creatives in the industry, Annette has grown and positioned the agency creatively, proven by the fact that Ogilvy & Mather UK was the second most awarded agency at Cannes Lions this year. Most recently, she successfully led the agency’s move into Sea Containers on London’s South Bank.
Launched in 2010, the Women in Marketing Awards are established to recognise the economic, social influence and impact of women to millions.
