Advertising Week Europe. It’s a fundamental part of any marketer’s calendar and AWEUROPE 2016 is no different. With over 200 events across 4 days, Ad Week is an opportunity for individuals and agencies alike to showcase their expertise and learn from others working in similar industries. It should therefore come as no surprise that representatives from Ogilvy & Mather Group UK will be attending in droves and not just as audience members. Across the week we are participating in six events and, to save you from trawling through the extensive Adweek calendar, here they are:

 

Monday 18th 11am - The Drum Bus: The Marketing Industry Brexit Debate with Paul O’Donell

What do the In and Out campaigns need to do to triumph in the referendum on 23rd June and what implications would Brexit have on the UK marketing industry? You can find out from our Chairman, Paul O'Donnell, at The Drum Bus on Monday.

 

Monday 18th 12pm – Cross Screen Summit with Emma de la Fosse

Hear from leading industry experts on the phenomenon and explosive growth of cross screen behaviour. This on-going, landmark shift in consumer content consumption will be examined by a best-in-class group from both sides of the Atlantic at The Guardian Stage.

 

Tuesday 19th 10am – Insights and Experiences with Rory Sutherland

The Vice Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Group UK, Rory Sutherland, will take to the Academy Stage in the first of his two talks. With years of experience in advertising, Rory will discuss his insights and experiences of creative leadership in the advertising world.

 

Tuesday 19th 10.35am - The LinkedIn B2B Forum with Alex Brayshaw

The LinkedIn B2B Forum is the event that puts B2B at the heart of Advertising Week Europe. It’s a half-day executive forum, at the Getty Images Stage packed with panel sessions and in-demand speakers that explore the most pressing issues in B2B with some of the most innovative marketing minds out there including Alex Brayshaw, Business Partner at OgilvyOne Business.

 

Tuesday 19th 5pm - You Are Not Paranoid They Really Are Out to Get You with Rory Sutherland

In his second session, this time at the IPA Stage, Rory Sutherland is joined by Paul Feldwick, the acclaimed author of The Anatomy of Humbug: How to think differently about advertising. The talk will revolve around one simple question - what makes it so difficult to sell ideas? IThe talk will also cover what agencies may have done, inadvertently, to make it harder than necessary.

 

Thursday 21st 12.30pm – Responsible Marketing with Sam Williams-Thomas

In association with Creativepool, OgilvyOne CEO Sam Williams-Thomas will be speaking with Phil Rumbol, founding partner at 101, about how marketing can affect the consumer. The session focuses on the idea that responsibility is down to innovation and brand changes create consumer changes, which you can hear more about at The Sun Studio on Thursday.

 

Thursday 21st 3pm - Digital: A Decade On Is the Industry Making the Best Use of Digital Creativity in Out-of-Home? With Nicole Yershon

Out-of-Home is rich with creative opportunity, but are brands being bold enough when it comes to digital creativity and new tech? What is the untapped potential of digital Out-of-Home? And what imminent innovations and solutions are set to unlock the true art of what is possible?
