Ogilvy & Mather Advertising has promoted Marina Banks to Head of Account Management, effective immediately. In this role, Marina will work closely with Annette King, CEO, Ogilvy & Mather Group UK until newly appointed CEO of O&M Advertising, Charlie Rudd, starts in the New Year, to build a vision for the agency and ensure the department is best in class.
Marina was most recently promoted to Managing Partner from Business Director just six months ago. She joined Ogilvy ten years ago as an Account Executive after graduating, and has worked across a range of accounts including Castrol, Chiquita, Dove, Ford, Coke, Anglo American and Amex, and has led numerous new business pitches. She also spent two years working as a Behavioural Director within #ogilvychange.
Alongside her day to day account responsibilities, Marina has led the Ogilvy Group wide Fellowship Programme since 2012 and co-founded Women@Ogilvy, a professional network of women at Ogilvy, working to inspire, empower and share experiences across the Ogilvy Group.
Annette King commented: “There was an overwhelming consensus from within the agency that Marina was the best person for this role. Her drive and passion for the job, coupled with her popularity amongst clients and her peers, make her the ideal choice to lead the department as we head to Sea Containers, our new home. I am sure she is going to be a fabulous Head of Account Management.”
