The team at OgilvyOne Business, Shere, has come up with a novel (ahem) way to celebrate World Book Day. They’ve penned a ‘fold-over’ short story.

The idea was simple: write a line or two, fold it over, then pass it on to the next person to continue.

The result? Over 20 authors, 1,300+ words of utter madness and one very long piece of paper.

Highlights included:

“I slipped off into the kitchen to prepare a slap-up meal of Beef & Tomato Pot Noodle and Nice ‘n’ Spicy Nik Naks.”

“I watched until he became a speck on the horizon, then I hopped onto Magellus and we began our long journey home.”

“The king turned his head and gave me one of his ‘looks’. Right there, right then, I thought I was dead.”

The thinking behind the story: have fun with words and use your imagination. After all, isn’t that what stories are all about?
