MAKING THE ROYAL AIR FORCE MATTER
In 2018 the RAF celebrates its centenary. It wants to use the occasion to not only tell stories of its achievements past and present, but also to redefine the role of the RAF moving forward as a progressive, relevant and innovative organization.
Coley Porter Bell was asked to develop an overall visual identity for a centenary campaign that will run across a diverse range of activities and touch points from 2016 through to 2018, the year of the centenary itself.
Working closely with senior members of the RAF we developed a strategy to demonstrate this innovative organization, at the cutting edge of life sciences, innovation and technology.
CAN MEETS DO
The logo was based on the letter forms of the RAF core logo and we created a broad visual language around that using dynamic shapes inspired by the logo to create a sense of modernity, pace and energy. The identity allows huge flexibility to tell different stories and to work across a host of different touch points.
