Gen has over 14 years of strategic brand and communications planning experience. Starting life as a communications planner in the world of media, Gen eventually moved to the world of brand planning taking roles at global agencies including adam&eveDDB and DLKW Lowe and at smaller independents such as The Brooklyn Brothers. Gen's client experience has been varied and diverse having led strategy for Halifax bank, Lloyds Banking Group in the UK, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover and Unilever.
Outside of his departmental duties as Head of Strategy for Ogilvy, Gen is involved in New Business and leads the strategy and planning across NCS, Heineken and leads strategy for all HM Government campaigns.
To Gen, being the progress means having the vision to see what could be improved in our world, the tenacity to fight for what is right but the humility to listen to others.
Gen is married to his wife Emma, and they have two kids, Leila aged 6 and Wilbur aged 4 who keep him on his toes outside of work.
